Source Mondial “Volcano” rugs are available in either hand-knotted or hand-tufted qualities.
This rug is hand-knotted by highly skilled and experienced artisans from pure NZ wool.
The wool used to create this rug is specially selected, hand-spun and then hand-dyed before being knotted in such a way as to create a striking tonal graduation of colour with a fade out/fade in effect.
“Volcano” rugs are made entirely by hand, from the hand spinning & dyeing of wool to loom preparation, weaving and finishing. The final result is a one of a kind rug of enduring beauty which reflects the care, attention and craftsmanship required to produce it.
This rug can be custom made to suit specific requirements, including the scale of the design, dimensions, shape, colour and production method (hand-knotted or tufted).
